Description:

We are looking for a creative and motivated landscape designer to join our design team. Our primary projects are residential and involve both interior and exterior spaces. Ideal applicants will have a passion for landscape design, knowledge of plants, and a solid design background. Interested applicants will have opportunities to spend time in the field seeing projects through conception to finished product.

Work is primarily done at our Albany office with some remote work flexibility. We work collaboratively as a team and enjoy creating a fun office environment.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with others within the firm and design professionals to take drawings from conceptual design through permitting and construction

  • Field measuring to create base plans

  • Assist in both design and construction phases of projects

  • Coordinate with the Construction Project Manager and Foreman

  • Order materials and plants

  • Periodic site visits and inspections

  • Manage architectural detail library

 Skills:

  • Knowledge of landscape construction practices

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks software preferred

  • Horticultural knowledge including CA native and ornamental plants

  • Working knowledge of irrigation

  • Working knowledge of landscape construction

  • Working Knowledge of landscape design principles & an interest in architectural design

  • Strong graphic and oral communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Self-motivated, flexible, and eager to learn

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Associates Degree in Landscape Architecture

  • 2+ years experience related work experience

  • A passion for building
