Alana is a ReScape Certified Landscape Designer and Certified Permaculture Designer, and has a Master's in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University. She has experience with design and construction across a wide range of landscape architecture projects, from residential gardens to public parks, campuses, and large scale habitat restoration. In her explorations of the field she has designed sections of the Woodlands at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, supported construction of the Urban Farming Institute's headquarters in Boston, and led the native planting design and slope stabilization on the highest velocity reach of the American River - but has always found her way back to the joy of residential projects, where she thrives in the hands-on, creative and detail-oriented environment.

Alana loves sharing her excitement about the enchanting powers of plants, integrating ecological design approaches into her work, and designing spaces that help people connect with the unique beauty of where they live.

Outside of work Alana can be found frolicking around Mount Tam and the North Coast, tending the garden, cooking extravagant meals with family, and appreciating the many joys of living in her favorite place.
